BREAKING: Israel's army says Iranian forces in Syria fired about 20 projectiles at Israeli positions; some were intercepted
— The Associated Press (@AP) May 9, 2018
Iranian forces fire 20 rockets into Israel tonight. Explosions now around Damascus. Suspected Israeli Airstrikes yesterday near Damascus targeting Iranian depots. #Iran and #Israel are trading blows as never before. Very volatile situation.

Israel will have to respond forcefully to the Iranian rockets launched at the Golan. But since neither side (presumably) still does not want a full scale conflict, they will need help deescalating. There is only one logical candidate: Russia.

Tempers beginning to get frayed on the government side as they lose further votes in the Lords. Some of the harshest & most mean spirited debates I've witnessed in my time in the Lords. Pity, & shows weakness of the govt’s position on #Brexit in the face of logic and common sense

Biggest restriction on UK press freedom is libel law. Leveson offers a way round it. He would increase press freedom. But he also offers justice for press victims – and Fleet Street won't have that. Hence the bad-faith campaign against him.
