Border row flares ahead of French elections

With elections in France looming next Spring, immigration is again emerging as a potential political flashpoint, particularly in the context of a post-Brexit Britain. Former – and wannabe future – French President Nicolas Sarkozy, as well as local French politicians, are arguing that the “Jungle” refugee camp in Calais should be moved across the Channel to Britain.



and, putting some more flesh on the Brexit bones, it appears Britain wants mostly wealthy, white, english-speakers, thanks… (although times have changed with #3)

and, er, careful about #1…
