Electoral College set to confirm Trump’s victory

Electors gather state-by-state on Monday to officially ratify the result of the election and – presumably, although honestly given this election so far, who knows – formally confirm Donald Trump as the 45th President of the United States. For the 538 citizens acting as electors, this hasn’t been an easy time.

As if there wasn’t enough serious stuff going on in the real world, we’re stuck with sifting through our own homegrown nonsense. Someone’s to blame, we need to find out the truth and there has to be accountability; not stonewalling and partisanship. Good luck with that.

The First Minister faces a no confidence vote and will make a statement to the Assembly on Monday morning. Who knows what happens after that.
