All these women testifying over these impeachment hearings underscore it is really past time for a woman to get elected president. They have all been outstanding patriots.

Republicans really are testing whether they should fight this impeachment by moving to impeach Barack Obama.
That’s…actually happening.

Three of the four professors agreed that this is the first impeachment proceedings in history implicating all three of the concerns that animated the Framers, in response to a question by @RepRaskin.
They didn't ask Turley, who would likely have disagreed.

Constitutional law expert Michael Gerhardt just warned Congress that a failure to impeach President Donald Trump could set a dangerous precedent for future commanders in chief:

#RepGaetz may have gotten his Fox News soundbite suggesting wrongly that Prof Karlan attacked Baron Trump. It would have been wrong if she did, but she said nothing negative about Baron. She said #Trump isn’t a monarch. #Impeachmenthearing

Professor Pamela Karlan apologized moments ago during the impeachment hearing for the comment she made mentioning Barron Trump: “I want to apologize for what I said earlier about the President’s son, it was wrong for me to do that.”

Collins finishes up by saying it’s OK to attempt to commit crimes as long as you bungle it and get caught and it doesn’t actually happen. Oh, and also a stream of lies, aimed at the low information voter GOP base.

Fox News' Judge Napolitano crushes Turley: "The House has sole power of impeachment. It does not need to go to a court… When the president receives a subpoena, Mick Mulvaney, Mike Pompeo receive a subpoena and they throw it in a drawer… that is the act of obstruction." pic.twitter.com/WjoKgkvImS
— Jesse Lee (@JesseCharlesLee) December 4, 2019
Turley keeps saying this would be a record-fast impeachment but it really depends on how you count it. In the Clinton case, the House voted to impeach him 72 days after it authorized an inquiry. It has now been 71 days since Pelosi opened the inquiry into Trump.
— Peter Baker (@peterbakernyt) December 4, 2019
.@RepJoeNeguse just nailed @JonathanTurley by asking him if any other president had EVER issued a sweeping order that NO Executive Branch official comply with ANY Congressional subpoena in an impeachment inquiry. Turley claimed not to know. The right answer is NO.
— Laurence Tribe (@tribelaw) December 4, 2019
Here is the irony: republicans argue against impeachment because of no direct witnesses while White House refuses to provide them and they say impeachment must be bipartisan as they refuse to consider impeachment.
— Matthew Dowd (@matthewjdowd) December 4, 2019
The argument that Dems have been trying to impeach Trump from day one runs up against the fact that Pelosi, Nadler, and Schiff refused to support impeachment until this fall’s Ukraine revelations.

Claiming Brexit will be “done” by Jan 31st sounds great to some…
