A fish fight. They'll now distract you with a petty gunboat fish fight, to distract from them setting everything else in the country on fire. Because that's their level. They have no higher bar. A flag to wave, and some foreigners to shout at. That's it.

Sovereignty, in the minds of our government, relates to the days when we could tell other nations what to do. The mindset that sent in gunboats to shell Canton when they would not buy British opium! A modern version is- when we go abroad they should be grateful.

NEW: EU member states told to hold line if we get a 'no deal' to "incentivise" UK to come back to the table – my @ft latest with @jimbrunsden – tho no-one under any illusion how unpredictable no deal would be. (Better everyone wakes up, does a deal IMO)https://t.co/eyTkSFGqVu

THE RAGING DUMPSTER FIRE AND CONSTITUTIONAL SHITSTORM THAT IS TRUMPWORLD
#BREAKING: The Supreme Court rejected a lawsuit brought by Texas and 17 other GOP-run states alleging election fraud in four other states, in yet another failed attempt by allies of President Trump to overturn the results of the 2020 election. https://t.co/97QP8zrNYL

Trump may think that's why she was installed. But you know and I know, she was installed to overturn Roe v. Wade. That's her mission. Trump is no part of it.

Several Republicans who signed their names to the amicus brief for the Texas lawsuit understood it would likely quickly be shot down by the Supreme Court and only viewed it, like many other things in Trump's world, as a loyalty test. But Trump told people he thought he'd prevail.
— Kaitlan Collins (@kaitlancollins) December 11, 2020
On the one hand, the Texas suit was a bullshit argument devised by an AG mostly focused on staying out of jail and thinking this gambit might help him. On the other, most of the GOP at all levels endorsed the effort to overthrow the state. So it was more serious.
— Josh Marshall (@joshtpm) December 11, 2020
Trump and much of the GOP will now just pivot to other tactics to overturn the election. There is literally never going to be a moment where he says "Ok, ya got me!"
