French truckers threaten Calais blockade over migrant camp

Cross-channel travel chaos is expected on Monday as truck drivers are set to converge on the port of Calais demanding authorities act to clear the “Jungle” camp, where an estimated 9,000 people are waiting in hopes of traveling to England. By the end of a day of two widely contrasting speeches, Donald Trump racked up a photo-op with the President of Mexico – a politician even more unpopular than he is – and had ramped up the rhetoric on his immigration policy with a rally in Phoenix, Arizona. Whether the red meat he tossed to his base will succeed in winning over any undecided voters remains to be seen.

The Clinton campaign called it Trump’s “darkest speech yet”.
