"I don't think Boris Johnson is a bad man. I think he is a trivial man. I think he's a showman with nothing left to show. I think he's a trickster who has performed his one trick. Once he had said the words 'Get Brexit Done' his plan ran out. He has no plan." – serious Starmer.

"Starmer is no doubt more than happy to be seen picking a fight with the Left, but his insipid leadership makes victory far from certain" | Writes @Sherelle_E_J https://t.co/R9nnXU8e9R

Polls aren't moving, despite the fuel crisis.

What's the one constant? Labour's refusal to offer anything concrete to the 48%, and to anyone else who now thinks Brexit's going badly. (Starmer's words today were way too weak in that regard.) https://t.co/AbZXo3Gejs

We are in the genuinely surreal situation of the British government simultaneously trying to pretend there isn't a crisis in Britain while also pretending that there *is* one in Northern Ireland. https://t.co/8ogAF8sIjg

I see @BBCNews doing a vox pop showing as many people as possible who wouldn’t trust Keir Starmer, including people who hadn’t even heard of him. Not at all staged. Waiting for next week where they’ll be finding all the people who thought Boris Johnson did an amazing speech 🙄

Boris Johnson battles to save the nation from the problems he caused by ignoring everyone who told him what the problems were going to be when he started making the decisions that caused the problems

Ex-Met Police officer Wayne Couzens handcuffed Sarah Everard and snatched her in a "false arrest" before murdering her, court toldhttps://t.co/TwoQl38zax
— BBC Breaking News (@BBCBreaking) September 29, 2021
If Sarah Everard had had the same luxury of “not viewing” Couzens as a police officer she would still be alive. https://t.co/IEYELfTaJO
— Agnes (@agnesfrim) September 29, 2021
I have to say I find the emphasis that the Metropolitan Police are putting on Couzens being an “ex” police officer pretty sickening. He was a police officer when he murdered Sarah Everard. More than that, he used that as a key part of his crime.
